Roman Popadiuk is a retired member of the career Senior Foreign Service and was the first US ambassador to independent Ukraine. He was Executive Director of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation and is President of the Diplomacy Center Foundation.

Janet Elise Johnson is Endowed Chair in Women’s and Gender Studies and Professor of Political Science at Brooklyn College and the Graduate Center, CUNY.
